Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has described his elder brother, Adedeji Adeleke, father of Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Davido, as a major source of guidance and a father figure whose advice continues to influence his life and decisions.

Adeleke spoke during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, where he reflected on his family, the influence of his siblings and the close relationship among members of the Adeleke family.

The governor said his relationship with Adedeji Adeleke goes beyond that of ordinary siblings, describing his elder brother as an adviser whose experience and wisdom he continues to rely on, particularly when making important decisions.

According to Adeleke, his elder brother has played a significant role in shaping his outlook and providing guidance throughout his journey in public life.

The Osun governor also spoke emotionally about his late father, whom he said he continues to miss.

Adeleke explained that the presence of his elder brother often reminds him of their late father, making the bond between them particularly important to him.

He described his family as closely knit, noting the strong bond that exists among the Adeleke siblings despite their individual careers and responsibilities.

Adedeji Adeleke is a Nigerian businessman and the father of Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido. His family has remained prominent in Nigerian business, entertainment and politics.
